Critical Mass, the NBCC blog, reports that the (Cleveland) Plain Dealer is trimming its book section by 25 percent.  Bummer.  The PD was one of the few papers with its own bestseller list (although I haven’t seen that in months) and that also regularly covers paperback reprints.

Speaking of expectations, the New York Times via Ed Champion talks about anticipated vs. actual publicity (and sales) for Vincent Bugliosi’s new book — the book has hit bestseller lists apparently boosted by ads and radio interviews but scant print or TV coverage.  Interesting.
